On Sunday...we'd like to plan on 10 AM. Yes it is a 30 minute drive out to Mountain Harbor (H Dock). Why 10 AM? Because when asking a group of people to meet somewhere...odds are likely that all too many will not show up on time. By saying 10 AM...hopefully everyone will be there at some point before 11 and we'll be able to pull away from the dock at 11. I would love to just be able to say 11 AM but that won't work because then people wouldn't show up until noon. And so on and so forth. A houseboat is not a ski or even a pontoon boat. Even though we are only going maybe a mile from H dock there at Mountain Harbor...it will take 30 minutes to get to where they anchor. Only a few minutes with a ski boat.
If you are bringing your own boat and or Sea Doos...then obviously you can come later or at that time. Once we get to the place where Jenn and Steve anchor their houseboat...I can send you the GPS coordinates that you can plug into your phone. Some of you may arrange to meet those trailering their own boats. So far I believe Mike Gibson, The Horns, Blake Cavenaugh, Greg Conley and Tucker/Mason/Carter will have their boats. There's a chance others may end up being able to join and bring their boats also...I'll post tomorrow when I hear back from them. If you absolutely can't be out there on time for some reason, odds are someone with a boat will be able to come back in and get you. Now...what is everyone wanting to bring as far as food/snack/beverage? I'll make homemade ice cream and a chocolate brownie/marshmallow type thing to go with it. If I can find ripe avocadoes tomorrow...I'll make guacamole as well.
