For those wanting to do 13.1 tomorrow...gym hours for the morning will be 6 AM to 9 AM.  Please contact me if you are needing to do it in the afternoon.  Those of you running the Adam Brown on Saturday and trying for a good time in the race...I suggest you do this WOD tomorrow so as to give your legs a day to rest before Saturday.  The WOD for everyone Saturday will be to run a 5 K or scaled distance if necessary.  Many of you are already signed up for the race and I hope as many that can do it will particpate.  If you're not concerned about your run time Saturday, then you can wait to do 13.1 on Friday.  If necessary, we can likely set up a time to do it Sunday as well. 

Those of you entered/participating in the Open, if you'be been very regular in attendance...how lucky are we that the programming has included so many burpees and Olympic lifting over the past month or more?  Next week...I would be ready for something along the lines of box jumps, double unders and pullups.  Those of you getting close to having consistency with DU's...you've got another week. 

ANYONE CAN COME DURING OPEN GYM HOURS TOMORROW, THIS ISN'T LIMITED TO COMPETITORS.

Proceed through the sequence below completing as many reps as possible in 17 minutes of:
40 Burpees
75 pound Snatch, 30 reps
30 Burpees
135 pound Snatch, 30 reps
20 Burpees
165 pound Snatch, 30 reps
10 burpees
210 pound Snatch, as many reps as possible

    Hello and Welcome to my Blog.
    My name is Jay Lawson, founder of CrossFit Hot Springs.  I've been following CrossFit methodologies (strength and conditioning) for over 12 years now and a certified Level 1 CrossFit Trainer since March of 2010 and a Level 2 CrossFit Trainer since July, 2016. I also hold CrossFit certifications  for Olympic Lifting, Endurance and Gymnastics.  As well, I'm a USAW Level 1 Sport Performance Coach.  I've been fitness minded since a very young age.  Nothing I've done before CrossFit was even remotely as challenging, rewarding or more exhilarating.
